Andy Samberg won Best Actor in a TV Comedy for his role as Jake Peralta in Fox's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." This is the SNL alum's first nomination and win.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows a precinct of the Brooklyn police force as they try to solve crimes. The show also stars Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio and Chelsea Peretti. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" was also nominated for Best TV Series - Musical or Comedy.

Samberg beat out Jason Bateman ("Arrested Development"), Don Cheadle ("House Of Lies"), Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") and Michael J. Fox ("The Michael J. Fox Show").

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the 71st annual Golden Globes, which were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. Last year, Don Cheadle won for his role in "House of Lies."
