Rawcus' 'White People Crazy' Offers A Different Perspective

'White People Crazy' Video Asks The Hard Questions

Atlanta rapper Rawcus dropped the video for "White People Crazy" online earlier this week, offering what's both a fun sing-along tune (a ringtone version is available on iTunes) and a welcome relief from the much-criticized media habit of painting black Americans as particularly dangerous.

Set to a montage of curious viral videos of white folks acting curiously, the track sees Rawcus expressing bewilderment at "white people kissin' ... all they dogs on the mouth," appearing in MTV reality shows, duck hunting, wearing straitjackets and more. Lest the indictment be only a broad, overarching one, Rawcus offers up some names. Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Charlie Sheen, Bill Clinton, Martha Stewart, Billy Mays, Casey Anthony, Stewie Griffin, Homer Simpson, Hitler, Ryan Dunn and Johnny Knoxville make the list, as do a few non-white folks, like Will I Am, Tyler, The Creator, "half Obama" and "Kanye West clothes."

The song is a cut off Rawcus' "Fake It Till You Make It" EP, released in September of last year. Cue the internet furiously typing "but what if a white person made a song called 'black people crazy????'" in 3... 2... 1...
