"Dancing with the Stars" pro Anna Trebunskaya has welcomed her first child, a daughter named Amalya Millan.
Trebunskaya's rep confirmed with People that the ballroom dancer gave birth at home on Saturday (Jan. 18). Throughout her pregnancy, Trebunskaya chose not to reveal the identity of the baby's father, but she has now announced that he is musician and actor Nevin Millan.
“We’re thrilled to welcome our beautiful, healthy baby into the world. We couldn’t be happier,” they said in a joint statement.
Trebunskaya's pregnancy was unexpected, but welcomed. “Even though this was not planned, I believe things happen for a reason and it was meant to be,” she told People in September of 2013, shortly after announcing that she would not be returning to the "Dancing with the Stars" for its 17th season. “I’ve always wanted to have a baby, but it was never the right time. I guess it was fate -- or the universe -- telling me it was time to be a mom,” she said.
After getting settled into her new role as mother, Trebunskaya, 33, took to Twitter to thank her friends and supporters for their congratulations and warm wishes.
Congratulations to the happy family!
