Teen Tells High School Girls To Stop Feeling Embarrassed About Their Periods (WATCH)

This video is for any high school girl who has had her period and felt awkward asking to use the restroom during class.

Created by Alice Wilder -- a teen ambassador for Girls For A Change / U by Kotex -- the epic takedown tackles period myths and "period shame." Wilder urgers her peers to stop feeling embarrassed when it comes to their monthly "visitor," and to feel empowered, instead.

"I wish I could tell my 13-year-old self or anyone who gets a period, to just go for it and stop hiding your tampons," says Alice. "So here's my challenge to you: On your next period, take your tampon or pad with you to the bathroom... You're gonna make everyone else in that room who gets a period feel so much braver and less ashamed of their bodies -- and isn't that awesome?"

Alice, you are awesome.
