SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Prosecutors charged a second woman with murder in a fatal beating outside a Southern California nightclub, while hundreds gathered to mourn the 23-year-old woman who was killed.

Candace Brito pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Orange County Superior Court in death of Annie Hung Kim Pham.

Authorities say an argument between Pham and other club-goers escalated into violence Jan. 18 outside a Santa Ana nightspot.

Another woman, 25-year-old Vanesa Zavala, pleaded not guilty to murder last week and a third person of interest is being sought.

Pham, a recent college graduate and aspiring writer, was remembered by about 600 people at a church memorial. That was followed by a cremation service later Tuesday.

Her uncle said mourners should pray for Pham's soul, for her friends and for her attackers.
