Even if you're a die-hard Seahawks fan or a hardcore Broncos buff, admit it -- you're not tuning in to the Super Bowl solely for the love of the game. Everyone knows half the fun is watching the quirky, hilarious commercials advertisers are dishing out millions for.
In fact, it's expected that out of the 100 million-plus estimated viewers in today's game, over half are tuning in just for the much-talked-about ads. And with the game being dubbed the "Stoner Bowl" this year, with both teams representing states that have legalized marijuana, it's safe to assume the ads will give us enough water-cooler chatter to last for days.
Over the years we've had some truly genius ads that were so catchy they've become part of pop culture. Who can forget the Budweiser frogs or linebacker Terry Tate's Reebok commercial, famously spoofed by Al Roker and Matt Lauer.
There have also been plenty of funny spots for the boomer generation -- and no the ads weren't for arthritis rub or denture gel. From our favorite 80-something funny lady to a 1980s heartthrob, we've rounded up the best Super Bowl commercials which prove post 50s really are "Livin Mas."
"The Empty Nesters"
"Full House" fans rejoice! Uncle Jesse, Uncle Joey, and Daddy Tanner reunite this year to spoof the show, nearly 20 years after it last aired, in a commercial for Dannon Oikos Yogurt. But this time, the full house has turned into an empty nest. Ominous.
"Viva Young"
Set to the tune of "We Are Young," this 2013 favorite ad features a bunch of seniors proving age is just a number as they sneak out (of their retirement home), joyride (in vintage cars), and end the night with the best hangover food for people of any age--Taco Bell.
"That's Not What Your Girlfriend Said"
You can't go wrong with Betty White. In one of her finest performances to date, Betty delivers quite possibly the best one-liner we've ever heard. USA Today named it the most popular Super Bowl ad of 2010 and it's easy to see why.
"Grandparents"
This 2004 Frito Lay commercial is adorable, although it includes a few senior stereotypes, as an older couple duke it out over a bag of irresistibly crunchy potato chips.
"Where's the beef?"
This classic 1984 commercial helped coin a popular catchphrase and helped fast-food chain Wendy's revenue by 31 percent!
