This Doctor Really Thinks Tom Brady And The Patriots Are Going To Win The Super Bowl (VIDEO)

WATCH: This Doctor's Super Bowl Prediction Will Make You Cringe

Being a cardiologist understandably seems to keep Dr. Shukri David from being on top of the comings and goings in the NFL. Unfortunately, he does not seem to be aware of the gaps in his football knowledge. He committed a cringe-worthy bit of NFL commentating malpractice during an appearance on FOX 2 in Detroit to discuss "Super Bowl Heart Health."

"I'm a Brady fan. He's a University of Michigan graduate. So go Patriots," Dr. David said when asked about his prediction for Super Bowl XLVIII.

Then he pumped his fist. The only problem?

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were eliminated from the NFL playoffs in the AFC Championship Game. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos ousted the Pats to clinch a spot in Super Bowl XLVIII. Making the mistake even more awkward to watch is the fact that the interviewer tried to let him know that Manning and the Broncos were facing the Seahawks in the big game.

Dr. David wouldn't hear it.

"No, not Peyton Manning. They're out," he insisted after she gave him a chance to correct himself. "I've been following the Patriots and I think Brady's going to pull it off."

Needless to say, if Brady pulls it off then the Internet owes Dr. David a major apology.
