Joe Namath's Fur Coat Was The Real Winner Of The Super Bowl

The Only Exciting Moment At The Super Bowl Was Joe Namath's Fur Coat

With the exception of the halftime show, the Super Bowl is not typically known for its big fashion moments. Thanks to Joe Namath, former Quarterback of the Jets, that sentiment has changed.

Namath stepped onto the sidelines Sunday night in a giant, two-toned fur coat which looked a little... out of place.

People everywhere took to Twitter to put in their two cents on the coat -- the chatter (obviously) resulted in its own handle, @Namathcoat. While the handle was unable to round up as many followers as Pharell's Grammys hat, the Internet's interest in the coat was palpable.

Some loved it, some compared it to an Ikea commercial, and some were inspired to debate about whether or not it's OK to wear fur again.

Other fashion moments included Bruno Mars in Saint Laurent, Renée Fleming in Vera Wang and Anthony Kiedis in those... leggings, but our vote for the biggest risk still goes to Namath.

However you feel about the coat, one thing is for certain: The former NFL star certainly made the otherwise lackluster football game way more entertaining to watch.
