After surviving a serious heart attack, actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell had some important advice for men and women, both young and old, about maintaining their heart health.
“Go to your cardiologist once a year starting at the age of 40. Get an ECG when you go and then have a copy with you to be prepared,” Rosie advised. She cited additives in food and lack of exercise as some of the biggest reasons why people are having heart attacks at younger ages and more frequently.
Another fact to keep in mind: know that heart disease kills more people than all cancers combined. “That knowledge will make you act” she said.
