Actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell walked away with some important life lessons after surviving a serious heart attack in 2012.
The number one lesson Rosie walked away with: “My heart attacked me, and that’s how I took it. I had paid such little attention to my physical body that it retaliated,” she said.
Rosie started to care of herself in a way she never had before. She was looked into wellness, spirituality and medication. “It made me value myself and my body as one unit, not as something separate. Barbara Walters told me I feel serene now,” she said.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway from her life-threatening scare: “Keep in touch with yourself,” she advised.
