Kate Upton Wedding Proposal Is Pure Magic

Kate Upton was out with Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander when she got a very public wedding proposal, complete with a giant engagement ring.

It just wasn't from Verlander.

Stuff the Magic Dragon, the mascot of the Orlando Magic basketball team, proposed to Upton at Friday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after Verlander made the mistake of leaving his seat for a few minutes.

Upton showed off her new bauble on Twitter, in the photo you see above.

"Thanks @STUFF_mascot for the proposal tonight! Great game!" Upton tweeted.

Stuff replied with a photo of the happy new couple:

"I was gone for 5 seconds!!" Verlander tweeted with mock outrage.

Stuff told Verlander there's a new mascot in Kate Upton's life.

Stuff tried to make peace with Verlander at last night's game. You don't want to anger a guy who can throw a ball 100 mph.

Verlander, 30, and Upton, 21, have been an on-again, off-again couple since 2012, but maybe Stuff's proposal will persuade Verlander to put a ring on it soon.

After all, you never know who's going to make a move next.
