Daniel Roman Allegedly Points Gun At Daughter For Stepping On Dog's Tail

Dad Allegedly Points Gun At Daughter For Stepping On Dog's Tail

A father in Cleveland is accused of pointing a gun at his 9-year-old daughter last month because she stepped on the dog's tail.

Daniel Roman is due in court this week, facing charges of menacing, child endangering and domestic violence. Court records state that Roman told his 9-year-old, "Step on the dog's tail again, and I will pull the trigger," but Roman's grandmother told 19 Action News this week that she was present, and he did not threaten the girl.

Court records also state that Roman told his 7-year-old twins that he would hurt them if they told anyone about the incident.

The children's stepfather told 19 Action News that he believes Roman called him to talk about the situation, and that he believes Roman did it.

"He called us denying it," the stepfather told the station, "so I knew there had to be some truth in it. Cause why would he call us if we didn't ask him any questions?"

Seriously guys, put the guns down.

Last year, a Minnesota man was arrested after police say he pointed an AK-47 rifle at his 15-year-old daughter for getting two B's -- instead of straight A's -- on her report card.

And earlier this month, a California man allegedly pulled a gun on an adolescent Girl Scout peddling cookies.
