Riders Stuck On Roller Coaster As Storm Rolls In

As a winter storm rolled in Wednesday evening, several riders were stuck on a roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Fla.

The riders on the "Cheetah Hunt" were right side up, WPTV reports, but the car was stuck in a spot that is difficult for rescue workers to reach.

“There’s been no indication that anybody is in any sort of distress or anything, other than having to sit there,” Jason Penny, Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman, told NBC 6.

As of 6:00 p.m., firefighters had successfully rescued all 16 people, according to Fox 13. Heavy rain was pouring onto the riders.

The Cheetah Hunt, at a length of 4,400 feet, is the entertainment park's longest thrill ride.
