Ellen DeGeneres Scares Cameron Diaz With 'The Mask'-Inspired Prank

Cameron Diaz Got A Scary Surprise On 'Ellen'

Cameron Diaz got quite the scare on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

The actress, 41, was chatting with DeGeneres on Thursday (Feb. 13) about her first movie, "The Mask," which came out almost 20 (yes, 20) years ago, when the talk show host decided to play a prank on her.

DeGeneres asked Diaz if she was ever freaked out by co-star Jim Carrey when he wore the mask on set, and as she began recounting her memories, a guy dressed in the iconic yellow suit and green mask crept up behind her.

"The process of taking it off is terrifying," an oblivious Diaz explained as the man got ready to launch. "It's just like glue, and chunks of sponge, would stay on his face, 'cause …" BOO!
