"I hate to spoil everyone’s fun, but [Hoda Kotb and I have] never been drunk," Kathie Lee Gifford said. "And we have no intention of ever getting drunk." It was a jaw-dropping revelation during the pair's appearance on "Watch What Happens: Live" that is almost impossible to believe ... especially for anyone who's watched the fourth hour of "Today."
Gifford went on to tell Andy Cohen, "I’ve had more sitting here with you than we ever do." The only exception is when they tape multiple shows in a single day. "When we do do three shows, you don’t want to be the last guest on the last show," Kotb added. "I think that’s a fair statement."
They did admit that they sometimes get into trouble during wine tastings, too. Having to rush through the segments means they don't have time to spit, so they're basically chugging wine. And just that quickly, they'd come up with two different scenarios where they maybe are a little drunk on the air. Hmmmm.
