Prince William Challenges Reporters To 'Come And Help' With Flood Relief

Prince William had a bit of a run-in with the media on Friday morning when he told reporters to help him clean up flood-stricken towns in southern England rather than ask him questions.

The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry were hard at work as early as 6 AM in Datchet, Berkshire, teaming up with the armed forces to help carry sandbags for flood relief. Naturally, lots of media outlets followed along, and one cameraman asked the Princes for a comment.

"You could come and help, instead of carrying cameras around," William snapped.

Guardian reporter Robert Booth said that while loading the sandbags onto the back of a truck, the Prince also approached the Guardian staff to request that they help as well.

"Why don’t you put your notebook down and give us a hand with the sandbags?” he reportedly said.

But when Booth offered to help, he said aides at the site rejected the offer due to "lack of the right sort of clothing."
