While we are the first to celebrate being single, especially on a day that exists to make us feel like we shouldn't be, there's no doubt that Valentine's Day produces a host of irritations for single people. Just going outside on Feb. 14 is a challenge -- cutting through linked hands on the way to work, getting hit in the face by unwieldy rose deliveries, tripping over a proposing man, you know the deal. Thankfully in lieu of doing something (or someone) this holiday, you can happily "go f*ck yourself" instead.
In "This Valentine's Day," writer Kady Ruth Ashcraft and director Hayley Kosan bring us a rather awesome alternative to swanky, overpriced dinners. From way too much PDA to flowers and chocolates given to everyone but you, "This Valentine's Day" hits the nail on the head when it comes to being single on Feb 14.
So instead of sulking why not practice a little self-love -- it'll feel a whole lot better.
