Harrowing scenes are flowing out of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev right now as riot police crack down on a main opposition camp of demonstrators. Already on Tuesday, protests turned violent and left 9 dead as demonstrators continue to rally against Ukrainian Prime Minister Yanukovych.

The heart of the clashes are being live streamed by a number of Ukrainian media outlets, including independent news station Espresso TV. Raging fires surround the camp and an almost constant stream of explosions light up the sky. Just a few minutes of video are enough to induce panic in even a stolid viewer.

The freezing temperatures in Ukraine will only get colder as night falls, but the protesters don't appear to be going anywhere any time soon.
