ABC News wrote a headline Thursday morning suggesting the ski slopes at the 2014 Sochi Olympics are too "macho" for women to handle.

The headline read "Women Olympians Getting Hurt on Macho Sochi Slopes." Editor-in-chief at Think Progress Judd Legum pointed it out for us on Twitter first:

The story was about Olympian Sarka Pancochova who suffered a hard fall and cracked her helmet in the slopestyle final, and the significantly larger number of women athletes getting injured in Sochi than men.

The Winter Olympics, which are broadcast by NBC, have not been the brightest spot for ABC News. On Tuesday, for example, it was announced that NBC's "Today" beat "Good Morning America" for a full week in ratings for the first time in nearly two years.

UPDATE: A spokesperson from ABC News informed the Huffington Post in an email that the headline has been changed, adding, "We completely agree that it was an awful headline."
