Birther Queen Running For Office, Because Nobody Has Paid Attention To Her In A While

Orly Taitz, who gained notoriety with her lawsuit challenging President Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president, is running for office again.

The San Luis Obispo Tribune reported Wednesday that Taitz has filed paperwork to seek the state's top law enforcement position, challenging current California Attorney General Kamala Harris. The party she will affiliate with is unknown.

Taitz garnered 3 percent of the vote when she ran for the U.S. Senate in 2012, failing to finish in the top two in the state's primary in order to run against Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.).

The would-be attorney general, commonly known as the "Birther Queen," has persistently asked questions about the validity of Obama's birth certificate. An Orange County judge rejected her attempt in 2012 to retrieve the president's records from college.
