Rupert Murdoch reportedly bought the top four floors of a downtown Manhattan condominium for a staggering, eye-watering, small-country-purchasing $57.25 million, the New York Times said Thursday.

The media mogul's new home spans more than 10,000 square feet and reaches from the 57th to the 60th floor of One Madison in the Flatiron district. The penthouse has five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and a spiral staircase with views of the World Trade Center site and the Hudson River.

The luxury condominium, which is home to several celebrities and famed billionaires, has reportedly been on Murdoch's mind since his arrival in New York.

Murdoch officially divorced his former wife of 14 years, Wendi Deng, in November. She got to keep the place they shared in Manhattan, which cost a paltry $44 million.
