Wendy Williams: 'The View' Needs To 'Shake Things Up' And Bring Rosie O'Donnell Back

Wendy Williams' Harsh Words For 'The View'

Wendy Williams has some advice for the "View" co-hosts: Bring Rosie O'Donnell back.

"The View" needs to "shake things up" if they want to keep going strong, the talk show host said on "The Wendy Williams Show" Monday. Williams said that O'Donnell's guest appearance on the show in early February made her wonder why she has not returned for good.

"I think 'The View' should bring her back," she said.

Williams seemed to suggest that O'Donnell would be a good replacement for Barbara Walters, who plans to retire in May.

"They have to do something," she said. "Barbara Walters is leaving. Whoopi has said before that she's just there for the paycheck, so Whoopi doesn't care about sitting in the Barbara position -- too many responsibilities!"

Williams has criticized the "View" women before. She had some choice words for co-host Sherri Shepherd in 2012 regarding her appearance on "Dancing With The Stars." And even though her words this time were pro-O'Donnell, it wasn't all compliments.

"She does have a big head though," Williams added.
