Clerk Body-Slams Gunman In Epic Takedown Caught On Tape (VIDEO)

WATCH: Store Clerk Body-Slams Gunman In Epic Takedown

Two California convenience store workers took matters into their own hands when a gunman tried to rob the place.

First, the clerk behind the counter grabbed the gun. Then, a second worker came up from behind and put some WWE-style moves on the gunman, taking him down with a body-slam -- and the whole thing was caught on the store's surveillance cameras.

“I was real nervous but at the time the adrenalin just took over and I didn’t think twice about it,” Joe Williams told KTVU.

While no one was hurt in the incident at the Arco AmPm store in Richmond, police say they were lucky.

“I have seen and heard of other situations where it turned extremely tragic, unnecessarily, because people fought and resisted,” Richmond Police Capt. Mark Gagan told the station. “It’s just an extremely dangerous and critical incident that unfolded.”

Police identified the gunman as Michael Corbin, 50, and charged him with attempted robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
