"I'm hugely imperfect," she told HuffPost Live. "But with that said, I win more than I lose."
The Biggest Loser trainer explained that the secret to a happier and healthier life is finding balance. She says that in order to find it, we need an attitude shift. "We as women need to give up that antiquated idea and concept that to be that good mom or good wife or good employee that we need to be martyrs. This is not true," she says.
Michaels said that these are the things she tries to stress on her NBC show Losing It With Jillian.
"The one true obligation you have ... is to be your best self -- that's when your kids will be happiest."
