Man Accused Of Killing Wife Has Support Of His In-Laws

A man accused of killing his wife in a drunk driving accident has his partner's parents in his corner.

Ryan Quinton, 28, was charged on Thursday with vehicular homicide, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. The charges stem from a Dec. 29 crash in Canton, Ga. that killed Kali Dobson, 25, according to the Associated Press.

Officials told the AP that Quinton swerved to avoid a dog, then veered off the road, launching Dobson out of the vehicle.

Now, Dobson's parents say, they are behind their son-in-law.

"He is my son and a brother to my daughters now and an uncle to my grandbabies," Linda Jordan, Dobson's mom, told the Marietta Daily Journal. "We support him in any way we possibly can."

Quinton allegedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.114. The legal limit in Georgia is .08.

Jordan said she doesn't want to see Quinton punished.

“We can’t stand to see something happen to him," she said. "We’re behind him. Whatever it takes, we’re right there for him.”
