Disabled Plane Passengers Get A View Of The Northern Lights On Special Flight Over Scotland

This Is THE Best Way To See The Northern Lights

Seventy four lucky plane passengers got the show of a lifetime this weekend, when they flew right through the Northern Lights near the Shetland Islands in the U.K.

Their British Airways flight was chartered by Aerobility, a charity that gives people with disabilities a chance to fly.

Increased geomagnetic activity made the Northern Lights look especially spectacular around Scotland on Saturday night. The plane took off around 8 p.m.-- cabin lights were turned off right away so passengers' eyes could adjust to the dark.

Some pretty incredible photos were snapped during the four-hour tour of one of nature's most awesome phenomena. No window seat view will EVER beat these.
