Woman Arrested After Stabbing Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear Stabbing Leads To Arrest

Cops collared a Wyoming woman after she allegedly stabbed a 5-foot-tall teddy bear in front of her boyfriend, declaring, "I wish this was you!"

Casper resident Carly Marra is suspected of attacking her boyfriend, Jordan McAlexander, on Feb. 10. According to the the Star-Tribune, the boyfriend was leaving Marra for another woman.

Marra reportedly insisted that McAlexander stay with her and her two kids for one more night. The pair argued, and McAlexander started texting his new girlfriend. That's when police said things got out of control.

According to police, Marra allegedly got upset and shredded the bear, then raised the knife over her head and said, "I'm going to stab you." McAlexander grabbed the knife from her, but not before she bit him in the bicep and punched him in the face and groin with her free hand. McAlexander wrestled free and locked Marra in the bathroom, then dialed 911.

Police say they found liquid THC and an ounce of marijuana in the apartment. Marra reportedly told police she was going to mail the weed to her father in Florida, where she said he uses it to self-medicate.

Marra was charged with felony aggravated assault and possession of controlled substance. She is free after posting a $5,000 bond set Wednesday.

According to her Facebook page, Marra was engaged on February 18. It's unclear whether she was engaged to McAlexander.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that Marra claimed she received marijuana from her father in Florida. She actually claimed that she was going to mail the marijuana to her father, police say.
