A labor honcho in Sweden is protesting the salary gap between men and women by playing extreme dress-up.
In one PSA, Annelie Nordstrom, chairwoman of Sweden's largest union, Kommunal, transforms into a balding male in a suit and tie who finally reveals the secret for women to secure higher wages. (You'll have to watch the video for the punch line.) The stunt, headlined "How To Get A Raise In 47 Seconds" on YouTube, was released ahead of International Women's Day, which is March 8.
According to the video, Swedish women earn about $346,000 less than men over a working life. Stateside, a much-disputed statistic says that a woman makes 77 cents for every dollar earned by a man.
