Katie Couric will interview Michael Bloomberg in the next installment of her web program on Yahoo.

Couric — who became the site's global anchor in a deal inked last year — will air her chat with the former mayor of New York City on Friday, Capital New York said Monday. She made her debut in January with a test show that featured an interview with former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

Couric asked viewers for their questions to Bloomberg on her program's newly-launched Tumblr Sunday.

Couric announced her partnership with Yahoo in November. She is leaving ABC News one year before her three-year contract expires, and her daytime show "Katie" will end after the current season wraps up in the spring.

Her responsibilities as Yahoo's global anchor include "groundbreaking interviews," and she has also said that there will be plenty of experimentation going forward as the site figures out what viewers want to see from her program.
