Politicians React To Harlem Explosion

Two buildings in Manhattan's East Harlem neighborhood collapsed around 9:30 a.m on Wednesday following a massive explosion that left at least two people dead and 55 injured, including two FBI agents.

The explosion, which took place at 1644 and 1646 Park Ave., seems to have been caused by a gas leak, according to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Con Edison, which received a complaint about a gas smell approximately 18 minutes before the incident, was unable to reach the scene before the explosion occurred.
