Tom Izzo Names His Favorite Player

Having reached the Final Four six times as head coach of the Michigan State Spartans, Tom Izzo has had what has seemed like a revolving door of talented college basketball stars. In fact, every four-year player Izzo has coached at MSU has made it to the Final Four, per Fox Sports. A day after the field of 68 teams for the 2014 NCAA Tournament was unveiled, Izzo joined HuffPost live and discussed who is his favorite player he has ever coached at MSU.

The longest tenured coach in the Big 10 named Mateen Cleaves, a four-year player who helped the Spartans win the national title in 2000.

Izzo, whose Spartans were named a No. 4 seed in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, also discussed his recent conference tournament title and how he manages his stress during March Madness.
