This Is Not A Parrot

PHOTO: This Is Not A Parrot

This is not a parrot. It isn't a Scarlet Macaw, either, if you want to get technical.

Go on and take a closer look.

This is a photo of a woman covered in body paint, by Italian-born artist Johannes Stötter, who earned the title of Bodypainting World Champion in 2012.

"I think most people don't realize that this is a human being," jokes Stötter on his Facebook page, "some of my closest friends are trying to find out why I posted the photo of a parrot."

His abilities extend far beyond parrots. Rocks? No problem. A stack of wood? Easy. Here, have a cello.

According to The Telegraph, Stötter spends up to five months planning his paintings, with some paintings taking up to eight hours to complete. Fortunately for the models, he uses a special, breathable paint.
