The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Trailer Is Here!

Paramount and Nickelodeon have released the first official teaser trailer for the 2014 remake of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” The clip is packed with action, intrigue, mutant turtles but, surprisingly, no pizza.

On Thursday, Will Arnett, who plays Vernon Fenwick in the film, went on NBC's "Today" to promote the film and give people the first glimpse of the trailer.

"I brought some pizza. My buddies, the Turtles, it's their favorite thing to eat. I don't know if people knew that," he said on the show.

Produced by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the "Ninja Turtles" film appears to take place in a city that’s rampant with crime and terrorist attacks, likely orchestrated by Turtles' villain Shredder and his Foot Warriors.

Bay’s motion capture CGI turtles tower over April O’Neil, played by Megan Fox. They also seem to be capable of more superhuman (or superturtle?) feats. The turtles are a new adaptation of the beloved characters, but it will be up to fans to decide if Bay's changes are good or bad.

The cast includes Arnett and Fox, as well as Whoopi Goldberg and William Fichtner. The turtles are voiced by Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo).

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is currently slated for an Aug. 8 release.
