Fred Armisen Joins The Flaming Lips Until They Realize He's Crazy

The Flaming Lips just weren't ready for what Fred Armisen had to offer.

Then again, when the "Portlandia" star tried to replace Wayne Coyne as lead singer of the band, he did suggest that "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots" would sound better as a Bossa Nova, Rockabilly or even a Two-Tone Ska song.

And while Jon Daly clearly digs it, the rest of the guys couldn't really handle Armisen's off-beat musical prowess.
