'Neighborhood Menace' Joseph Staehle, 18, Arrested In Undercover Investigation

Teen 'Menace' Arrested In Undercover Investigation

An undercover investigation has brought down a Louisiana teen who police say was a "menace" to the neighborhood.

Authorities in Kenner received numerous complaints leading up to the arrest of Joseph Staehle, WDSU reports. Officers booked the 18-year-old suspect on "six counts of marijuana distribution, five counts of violating drug laws, possession of hydrocodone and illegal possession of a stolen firearm," according to the Times-Picayune.

"He was a neighborhood menace," said Sgt. Brian McGregor, a spokesman for the police department.

Authorities included the violation of drug law charges because Staehle allegedly sold illegal substances near Woodlake Playground, a drug-free zone. The suspect was also charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm after police linked a .45 caliber handgun discovered in another investigation to him, according to Fox8.

Anyone with information concerning Joseph Staehle is encouraged to call the Kenner Police Department at (504) 712-2222, Kenner Police Drug Hotline (504) 466-3073, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
