Ben Carson's 2016 Plans Are 'In The Hands Of God'

Less than a month after riling up the conservative crowd at CPAC, neurosurgeon Ben Carson insists that any run for the White House would have to be steered by a higher being.

In a Friday interview with NewsOne Now, host Roland Martin asked Carson if he was considering a 2016 bid for president.

“I’ll leave that in the hands of God," Carson replied, according to Mediaite.

Carson's comment comes after he registered a third-place finish in the 2014 CPAC straw poll with nine percent of the vote. This is not the first instance of Carson saying his political future is up to God, as he made similar comments about a presidential run at February 2013's National Prayer Breakfast.

HuffPost Pollster's latest compilation of 45 publicly available polls shows a crowded picture of possible 2016 GOP primary candidates. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) topped the latest field of potentials with 14.3 percent.
