Gene Chizik Photobombs Daughter's Prom Picture In Grumpiest Way Possible

How did former college football coach Gene Chizik feel about his daughter Landry being whisked off to prom by a shaggy-haired 17-year-old boy?

His expression in this epic photobomb seems to say it all:

@lutzenkirchen You think my son will come home from prom alive? #Chizz pic.twitter.com/bnxi88dr7Q

Since being posted on Twitter by the boy's mom, Jeri Dickey, this hilarious photograph has spread like wildfire on the Interwebs, as anxious dads everywhere commiserated with the grumpy papa.

"I know how you feel, Gene... I know how you feel," former Olympic swimmer Rowdy Gaines wrote on Twitter Monday.

But according to ABC News, there's more to the photo than meets the eye.

Dickey told the news site that Chizik -- who, as head coach, led the Auburn University football team to a national championship title in 2010 -- had actually been only joking when he photobombed the shot with his disapproving scowl.

"He really does like my son," she wrote on Twitter over the weekend.
