Vice President Joe Biden's wife, Jill Biden, couldn't come up with a reason her husband shouldn't run for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.

In a Friday interview with The Washington Post, Biden responded to a reporter's question asking if she had a reason the vice president shouldn't run.

"Hmm. Not really," she said. "I guess the White House is kind of confining. I mean, we live in the vice president’s residence. At least I can get out and go places. And we have acres and acres."

On NBC's "The Today Show" in 2012, Biden said she thinks her husband "would make a great president."

HuffPost Pollster, which combines all publicly available polling data, shows Biden trailing Hillary Clinton by a significant margin in a hypothetical Democratic presidential primary.
