Jimmy Fallon Congratulates Stephen Colbert By Saying He'll Take His Old Job

Posted: Updated:

Although we won't be seeing "The Fallon Report" on Comedy Central next year, Jimmy Fallon did convince us last night that the next "late night wars" will be highly entertaining.

As in, they're going to be a dance-off.

During his Thursday night "Tonight Show" monologue, Fallon congratulated Stephen Colbert on the announcement that's he's taking over "The Late Show" from David Letterman in 2015. "We’re very happy for that guy. He's very funny. He's a good friend," Fallon said, before giving us a taste of his dance-off skills.

Watch the clip above and hear Jon Stewart and Colbert's reactions to the news here.
