Savannah Guthrie just proved once and for all that news anchors are just like the rest of us.

Yes, the "Today" show co-host lost her luggage on Thursday while traveling to the "Make a Difference Day" awards in Washington, D.C. Guthrie, crammed for time before the start of the event, said she had to rush to a department store with her NBC colleagues to buy a new outfit in less than 20 minutes.

"16 minutes, 13 seconds to be exact," Matt Lauer said, who was apparently timing the whole ordeal.

She admitted that she was originally wearing the dress that she planned to wear to the event, but decided to take it off for the plane ride in order to be more comfortable.

"I wanted to wear my elastic pants on the plane," five-month pregnant Guthrie said, according to USA Today. "So I put on my jeans and was going to change into my dress at the airport and they forgot my bag."
