Daily Meditation: Give Thanks

We all need help maintaining our personal spiritual practice. We hope that these daily meditations, prayers and mindful awareness exercises can be part of bringing spirituality alive in your life.

Today's meditation features a song by the legendary reggae group, The Abyssinians. "Satta massagana" means "give thanks" in the Amharic language of Ethiopia, and the song may inspire gratitude in listeners for all the wonders of this life.

Satta Massagana by The Abyssinians

There is a land, far far away
Where there's no night, there's only day
Look into the book of life, and you will see
That there's a land, far far away
That there's a land, far far away

The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords
Sit upon His throne and He rules us all
Look into the book of life, and you will see
That He rules us all
That He rules us all
