Woman Beaten And Robbed Leaving Pharmacy In Broad Daylight

In Florida, simply walking into the pharmacy is dangerous.

There have been three recent attacks at pharmacies in Tampa and Palm Harbor, according to WTSP, including two on customers carrying their medication. The most recent mugging was caught on camera in broad daylight on April 8 in Palm Harbor.

The video above shows a woman walking out of Trust Pharmacy with her prescription, KXAN reports. The suspect paces around before the assault in the video, lunges at the customer and knocks her to the ground. Witnesses are seen trying to capture the unidentified assailant, but he gets away with the medication.

Pinellas County deputies need help looking for the thief, TBO reports. He's described as a white man, about 40 years old, with white hair. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt with white lettering, plaid shorts, tennis shoes, glasses and possibly a tattoo on his calf. Anyone with information should call investigators at 727-582-6200.

Drug stores in Tampa Bay have become hotbeds for violence as addicts resort to robbery to get a fix. WTSP reports:

On February 28 in Tampa, a man walks out of a pharmacy and is jolted with a taser for his drugs.

On March 15 in Tampa, a pharmacist is attacked and beaten for his drugs.

On April 8 in Palm Harbor, a woman leaving a pharmacy is knocked to the ground for her drugs...

When people watch the video, it makes their jaws drop, but no one is really surprised.
