The 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards are just around the corner!
Latino stars will be awarded for this year's best music on April 24th. The artists that will take over Miami’s BankUnited Center include Franco de Vita, Chayanne, Marc Anthony, Prince Royce, Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini, Ricky Martin, David Bisbal, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon De Rene Camacho, and Banda El Recodo De Cruz Lizárraga.
Added to the group of A-list performers are Enrique Iglesias, Wisin, Sean Paul, Cristian Castro, and Michel Teló who will hit the stage for live performances.
Puerto Rican star Chayanne will also be debuting his new single on the Miami stage.
Enrique Iglesias could be a big winner
A hot contender to possibly receive an award is Enrique Iglesias, who recently released a studio album, “Sex and Love,” back in March. The album landed him with two No. 1 Billboard Hot Latin Songs singles with “Loco” and “El Perdedor.” Iglesias is rumored to be performing his new single, “Bailando” on the Miami stage.
Wisin, who landed Univision’s 2014 World Cup song in collaboration with Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez, “Adrenalina,” is also in the running for an award as well as performing live after remaining at the top of the chart for a solid 13 weeks with his single, “Que Viva La Vida.”
Vives, Bocelli and de Vita to receive special awards
There will also be a few special awards for the night.
Carol Vives, Colombian superstar, will be honored for his humanitarian dedication for more than 20 years, with the Billboard Spirit of Hope Award. Andrea Bocelli will be awarded with the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award while Franco de Vita will receive the Billboard Hall of Fame Award.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards show is the most prestigious when it comes to awarding Latin music. It will be hosted by Raul Gonzalez, Roselyn Sanchez, and Laura Flores. Chino & Nacho, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Andres Cantor are just a few stars that will be award presenters on the big night.
If you don’t get a chance to see it live just tune in to Telemundo where it will be broadcasted live Thursday, April 24 at 7pm/6c.
