'Bachelorette' Contestant Dies After Paragliding Accident

Eric Hill, a contestant on the upcoming season of "The Bachelorette," has died after being severely injured in a paragliding accident on April 20.

Hill's sister Karen Tracy shared the tragic news on her Facebook page on April 23, writing:

Hill was hospitalized and in a coma after part of his parachute collapsed while he was paragliding in Utah on Sunday, reports Us Weekly.

Hill was to be a potential suitor for Andi Dorfman on the upcoming season of the ABC reality dating series, and prior to joining the show, Hill was on a quest to visit every United Nations-recognized country in the world in just 1,200 days, which he documented on his website GO With Eric: The Global Odyssey.

The accident did not occur while Hill was shooting "The Bachelorette," according to Reality Steve, who reports that he was already eliminated.
