Justin Bieber Reportedly Questioned At LAX (UPDATE)

Justin Bieber was reportedly questioned at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, E! News reports. The Canadian pop star was flying back from Japan and was questioned by customs officials upon his return, according to X17.

As TMZ points out, "We're told it's standard ops for anyone with a record like Bieber's -- and doesn't mean he's getting arrested for anything." According to sources at the Los Angeles Times, he "was being questioned by officials, but no formal action had yet been taken."

Bieber is scheduled to go on trial this summer for charges of driving under the influence in Miami, and is awaiting trial for a misdemeanor assault charge in Toronto.

Last week, the White House refused to comment on a petition signed by thousands of people requesting Bieber's deportation from the U.S. The petition stated: "We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked."

UPDATE: After being detained for nearly four hours by U.S. Customs after he flew into Los Angeles International Airport, Justin Bieber was finally allowed to leave around 6:20 p.m PST, with four bodyguards in tow, according to E! News. The Canadian pop star smiled and avoided swarms of paparazzi as he climbed into one of the two SUVs that had been waiting for the group to emerge from the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
