NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced the lifetime ban of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling and many of the league's biggest stars were quick to express their support for the decision.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Silver announced that Sterling would be banned for life from the NBA and fined $2.5 million for racist comments made public in audio recordings obtained by TMZ and Deadspin. In the wake of the release of those audio recordings, players in the league staged silent pregame protests and spoke out against racism. In the wake of Silver's press conference, many players came out to cheer the punishment.
