Stephen Colbert Is NOT A Fan Of 'Star Wars' All Humanoid Cast

The cast for the upcoming seventh installment in the "Star Wars" movie franchise was announced earlier this week, and Stephen Colbert was among the first to voice his distaste for how it all went down.

During the "Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger” segment on “The Colbert Report" Tuesday, the host skewered the new cast for being both old and entirely "humanoid." He gave a wag of his finger to director J.J. Abrams for “blowing it” by announcing the news via a simple photo of the cast at a table read rather than with something with a little more special effects and fanfare.

"Those love seats are clearly not canon," Colbert griped, adding: "Whatever scruffy nerf herder released this photo has midi-chlorians for brains!"

Check out the video above to hear all of the "Star Wars" puns and to catch a glimpse of a 13-year-old Colbert.
