Steve Wynn: George Clooney's Wrong, I Didn't Call Obama An 'A**hole'

While hotel-casino developer Steve Wynn says actor George Clooney is a "good storyteller," he also insists the actor doesn't always have his facts straight.

In an email sent to the Las Vegas Review-Journal through his publicist, Clooney said he refused to remain at a table with Wynn after the alleged name-calling.

“He called the president an asshole ... that is a fact ... I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said ‘your friend is an asshole.’ ... At that point I told Steve that HE was an asshole and I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jackass," Clooney wrote.

But Wynn denied that ever happened.

"I didn't call the president an a**hole, and George didn't call me an a**hole" Wynn said. "He was a little into the tequila, and, uh, but he is fun to be with. He's a good storyteller."

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the incident occurred when Clooney and Wynn were dining at Botero restaurant while the actor was on a trip to promote his Casamigos tequila during the Wine &Spirits Wholesalers of America convention.
