Celebrity Makeup Artist Billy B. Reveals 3 Simple Beauty Tricks Any Woman Can Follow (VIDEO)

3 Shockingly Simple Beauty Secrets From A Celeb Makeup Artist

From Hollywood's red carpet to the streets of Manhattan, celebrities often seem to have that effortlessly flawless look whenever they're seen in public. You might attribute it to, say, medical enhancements or the expert work of an entire team of beauty professionals, but celebrity makeup artist Billy B. says you can achieve the look on your own.

Billy B. -- who has worked with everyone from Lady Gaga to Sharon Stone to Beyoncé -- stopped by the OWN Show web series to demonstrate some of these simple beauty secrets, which he also reveals in the May issue of O, the Oprah Magazine.

Shape the Perfect Eyebrow
Before you get a little too enthusiastic with the tweezers, use Billy B.'s simple trick for determining the perfect eyebrow shape. "Take a pencil or a pen, a makeup brush even… You hold this straight up the line of your nose -- right up the ridge of your nose. This is where your eyebrow should start," Billy B. says. "Then you rotate it where the pencil is then crossing your pupil. That's where your arch is… And then out to the edge of your eye. That's where your eyebrow should end."

Make Skin Look Dewy and Young
"This is a really good tip: A blush with sheen," Billy B. says. "It really is that simple." Applying a cream blush with a makeup brush, Billy B. begins at the apple of the cheek and brings the color all the way up into the temple. He explains that this technique helps the blush reflect light away from the fine lines near your eyes while also giving skin a youthful, dewy glow.

Plump Up a Nude Lip
Forget painful lip injections. For fuller, pouty lips, Billy B. reaches for one key product in his beauty arsenal. "This is the trick: You use a lip pencil that is just a shade darker than your own lip color," he says. "Then, just cheat the shape a little bit." On the top lip, Billy B. overdraws the lip line just slightly. On the bottom lip, he begins by following the natural lip line at the very corners of the mouth, but then overdraws closer to the middle. This helps create a shadow that makes lips look full. Finish by adding nothing more than clear lip gloss -- "This is the perfect nude lip: It's on your face, ladies!" Billy B. says -- and you're done.
