A 'Frozen'/'Once Upon A Time' Crossover Is Definitely Happening

Look Who's Coming To Storybrooke

Things are about to turn icy in Storybrooke.

Last night's season finale of "Once Upon A Time" had all the classic ingredients fans have come to love -- and love to hate -- about the show. There was time traveling, talk of portals, black magic, coronations, not-so-happy endings and a "Back to the Future" reference. All in all, it was a jam-packed two hour ordeal, but it's the final minute that left fans freaking out for what's to come next season. One word: "Frozen."

Now that the wicked witch is dead (or at least transformed into a pile of fairy dust) the show needs a new villain and who better to fill the role than the reigning ice queen herself, Elsa from Arendelle. The Disney film that keeps breaking box office records and has given us magical mashups and beautiful ballads that we like to secretly sing in the shower is coming to the small screen when "OUAT" returns next fall.

After show creators Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz revealed their obsession with the family friendly movie and admitted they were courting the possibility of a "OUAT"/"Frozen" crossover, they made it official last night before the credits rolled. The show's season finale saw Emma finally discover there's no place like home, but not before taking a powerful dark-magic-infused object with her when she travelled through time. Of course, nothing is without consequence and, at the end of the episode, we saw the blue liquid spew from Emma's ill-gotten trinket and eventually transform into, who else, Queen Elsa.

At this point, we aren't sure if the ice queen will be good or evil -- or a mixture of both -- but we do have a few ideas on who should play her. While Idina Menzel would be the obvious choice, she's currently working hard on Broadway. So, maybe the other "Frozen" princess would be willing to fill her Disney shoes once more?

When asked if she'd be interested in guest starring on the ABC drama, Kristen Bell said she'd be more than happy to visit Storybrooke.

"That would be unbelievable," Bell told E! News "I love that character of Anna so much. She's really close to my heart."
